New version for the demo of Project Romboid


After the launch of the version 0.1 of the demo of Project Romboid, players have discovered several flaws regarding the game design of the game, as well as some bugs. In this update I’ve addressed all of them. Mainly, this update will give players a quality of life improvement when playing the game, and beginning of the game won’t be that boring. This is because in the first version, the first 5 waves were very boring because only 1 type of enemy appeared. Now only 2 waves will be composed of this enemy, and will increase to 5 waves as the game progresses.

As the developer, I really hope that you enjoy this new version of the game. Here there are all the changes made to the game so far:

  • The first 5 levels have been changed so that instead of starting directly with 5 waves each level, the first level starts with 2 waves and goes to 5 waves as each level progress, making it faster and less boring to play the beginning of the game.
  • Now it is more clear when the player gets hit.
  • When picking brimstone, a slider now appears indicating how much time there is left to shoot the laser again.
  • Enemies that spawn other enemies have been adjusted to not be unfair.
  • The values of the volume now are saved from game to game.
  • Buttons to restart the game have been added.
  • The brimstone laser now is transparent to allow players to see the bullets coming through the laser.
  • The shootcounter is now reseted then the game is reseted.
